Description

The Team Lead is responsible for knowing approved procedures for workers to follow and for ensuring that they comply. The Team Lead encourages team effort and supportive attitudes between team members. We are looking for one Team Lead-Paint for our day shift (6:30am-3pm) + one for our evening shift (3:30pm-12am)

Education/Experience
Grade 12 or GED
3+ years of direct work experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient use of computers with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Practical knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing techniques

Skills
Leadership and team building skills with practical problem-solving skills
Planning and organizational skills with strong communication skills
Use of department specific technology
Ensure employees are following OHS and operational regulations
Accountabilities

Support Supervisor in delegation and planning of work
Clear communication and feedback to supervisor of any problems that may occur
Provide guidance to the team based on management directions
Act as a temporary supervisor when Supervisor is away
Assist Supervisor in new employee evaluations
Coordinate and oversee assignments
Ensure compliance with all Vderstad policies and standards
Motivate team members
Promote an environment of continuous improvement
Ensure proper use of safety equipment
Ensure that safety checks are carried out on all equipment operated throughout the production process
Ensure compliance with established quality assurance procedures
Direct team members and assign work
Responsible to train all team members
Achieve production goals, and all key performance indicators
Facilitate problem solving initiatives
Maintain a safe, clean compliant workplace
Work functionally with other departments and provide assistance
