Description

The SAGE Roadway Signs division of JNE Welding LP was started in mid-2020 to provide locally made high quality traffic signs to industry and communities in Western Canada.  At the outset, our focus is on providing aluminum reflective signs for highways and roadways across Saskatchewan.  Over time, the business will grow to provide additional types of roadway and traffic signs and other supporting products.

Reporting to the production supervisor, the production technician will be responsible for the fabrication of various sizes of aluminum signs and applying the appropriate decals to the finished fabrication.

The primary responsibilities of the role will include:

    At all times uphold oneself, and directly reports to the standards of JNE Core Competencies.
    Use a variety of machines and tools including the shear, punches, crane and perform acid etching to fabricate signs.
    Cut, punch holes & round the corners of aluminum on various machines.
    Laminate printed vinyl sign with laminator.
    Cutting & applying the sign onto required substrate.
    Use power tools to trim, cut & smooth signs.
    Packaging of the signs with plastic strapping.
    General clean up (sweeping of floors, organizing, emptying garbages, etc.).
    Move/load/unload signs weighing up to 50 lbs.
    Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
    Experience operating a variety of industrial machines and tools and/or willingness and aptitude to learn.
    Crane and forklift experience considered an asset.
    Computer skills are an asset.
    Basic math skills.
    Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and able to lift 50lbs.

Education:
    Minimum Grade 12 with advanced Math
