Description

The Quality Representative (QR) plays an important role in the development and manufacturing of products by ensuring that those products meet required quality standards before they reach consumer. The QR is responsible for conducting inspection and testing procedures and internal audits throughout product development and/or test finished goods. During these processes, the QR records and analyses results.

Education/Experience
Technical diploma in QA/QC or an equivalent combination of education and experience
An ASQ or equivalent qualification is highly desired
Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have experience using quality measurement tools
Familiar with production process and product audits, process audits and root cause analysis

Accountabilities

Use mechanical tools and skills to do assembly work and audit products.
Understand processes and work towards continuous improvement
Prepare inspection plans, conduct product & process audits to meet Quality Standards, compile reports and implement corrective actions
Assist in the development of statistical analyses to maintain the reliability and continuous improvement of products and processes
Interpret inspection sheets, work instructions, engineering drawings or schematic diagrams and confer with production, management or engineering staff to define and update the applicable quality and reliability standards or documents
Production support: Fast decision-making ability to resolve production issues and keep production on track
Maintain the calibration system and perform designated calibrations per internal procedures
Participate in the Material Review Board process for discrepant materials
Complete other appropriate tasks required to maintain an effective Quality System
