Description

This position will perform the following duties:
*    Capital Project Construction
  -    Develop priorities and schedule for annual Capital Works Program
  -    Preparing RFP and tender documents
  -    Provide design and field services
*    Project Management and Contract Administration
  -    Maintain liaison with the consultants and contractors and conduct construction inspections of projects
  -    Track expenditures and monitor costs
*    Municipal Programs
  -    Develop, implement and evaluate municipal programs, prioritizing the work of and analyze effectiveness
*    Funding & Grant Applications
  -    Identify and review potential funding sources. Support the development and submissions of grant applications
*    Commercial Subdivision
  -    Review commercial subdivision development servicing drawings
*    Disaster Preparedness & Response
  -    Maintain liaison with the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority and other stakeholders in forecasting floods and natural disasters
*    Software Operations
  -    Assist the Manager of Engineering in purchasing software
  -    Receive and analyze data
*    Participation of Committee Meetings
  -    Participate in the Environment Advisory Committee, Transportation Services Advisory Committee & Wakamow Valley Advisory Committee meetings
*    Reporting
  -    Research and prepare various reports for the consideration of Administration and City Council

Qualified applicants will possess:
*    University degree in engineering, or a related field, eligible for registration with a Provincial organization (APEGS  P.Eng, EIT) OR
*    Post-secondary Diploma in Engineering Technologies, 3 years related experience in municipal project management OR
*    Engineering Technician Certificate and 5 years related experience in municipal project management; Able to operate AutoCAD
*    Eligible for certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist in Saskatchewan
*    Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
*    Valid Class 5 driver's license
