This position is designed to support students who will be entering full-time ABE programs in August and again in January. The instructor will work with students to help them build math skills, digital literacy skills and self-confidence to support their entry into ABE programming. The program will involve working with approximately eight participants to gauge their current skills and work to increase student comfort for success in Workplace & Apprenticeship Math 30, Foundations Math 30 as well as comfort working in online platforms Moodle and Microsoft Teams.
The program will take place at the Red Earth First Nation located 87 kms east of Nipawin.
Required Qualifications:
- A four year Bachelor of Education Degree, a Professional A Teaching Certificate, in good standing with the SPTRB - with a preference for a Math or Science major.
- Preference will be given to candidates who speak Cree fluently.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check will be required.
