Reporting to the Director, Rural Water Services, an employee in this training job will assist in providing watershed operations management services and engineering/geoscience support. In addition, this employee will participate in inter-disciplinary, inter-agency, and inter-jurisdictional investigations related to the development of watershed management plans. This employee will undertake work assignments under the guidance of a Professional Geoscientist/Engineer.
You will assist in coordinating and monitoring, on a watershed basis, the operations of site specific reservoirs and water supply projects for the purpose of meeting water use and supply and inter-provincial and international apportionment objectives.
You will work among a diverse and passionate team of professionals, in the fields of engineering, water quality, ecology, law, sociology, public policy, and other external agencies. To learn more about the full scope of duties for this position, visit wsask.ca.
The successful candidate should possess a degree in Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline, registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as an engineer-in-training.
