The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Mining and Energy Division is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to provide support to the administration and ongoing monitoring of the Quality Assurance program for the Geoanalytical Laboratories.
Accountabilities
Maintain the controlled document library, laboratory logbooks, certified equipment and supplies documents and other records
Administer the employee training program, including reports, notifications and training records
Conduct quality checks on laboratory equipment
Assist with internal, customer and external audits of the laboratory and the Quality Management System, including follow up processes and actions
Qualifications
A chemical technology diploma is preferred
Two to five years of administrative or laboratory experience is preferred
Familiarity with ISO 17025 requirements is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and SharePoint
Skills
Excellent organizational skills
Focused, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
