We are currently seeking an Engineering Technologist to join our Engineering Team. The successful candidate will assist the engineering team on product design and projects, product improvements, fabrications, and testing.
What will you be working on?
- Prepare computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in the design in of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for use in manufacturing process.
- Provide feedback and advise regarding the technical and structural aspects of projects.
- Provide technical support to other employees regarding mechanical design, fabrication, or documentation.
- Document technical design details and operational test results.
- Support the engineering department as required.
What is required for this role?
- Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma.
- 5+ years of direct work experience.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks is required.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong mechanical background. Focus on machine design is preferred.
- Experience with steel fabrication, manufacturing processes and machine design.
- Strong problem identification and problem solution skills.
- Practical experience with product development and testing.
- Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with ERP systems and lean manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
