The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
General office work typing, filing, use of computers and dealing with the public daily;
Set up Membership Committee meetings, take minutes;
Process Indian status certificates (treaty cards);
Assist parents with process of registering children for status;
Assist Band Members with assorted forms and applications;
Liaise closely with external agencies including INAC, Vital Statistics (Sask.), etc.;
Some traveling will be required to assist with population statistics, Treaty Days, etc.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent;
Certificate in Office Education or related training is preferred;
Excellent computer skills;
Must have excellent verbal, written, and communication skills;
Proven interpersonal and organizational skills;
Punctual and reliable;
Must have valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle;
Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
Previous experience in related field would be an asset;
Ability to speak Cree is an asset;
Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Drivers Abstract
