Description

Spadina Industries and our sister-company, Sleepers Mattress Factory, are known for manufacturing high quality residential and
commercial sleep products.  We have been in business for 38 years, and are looking for people who will continue our commitment to service and craftsmanship.

We require a sewing machine operator to performs the final step in mattress production on our TE32 tape edge machine.  Physically, the operator needs to be able to handle twin, double and queen size mattresses unassisted. The actual mattress closing task involves operating the sewing head while moving around the perimeter of the mattress.  

Our preference is for an expert level industrial sewing machine operator. Generally taller individuals find this operation easier due to the size and weight of the product being processes.

Operators plan and organize work using work order listings, production schedules, and inventory sheets. This individual will be trained on other equipment.  

Excellent command of the English language in both verbal and written form is necessary.  Confidence in calculation of material requirements is essential.

A skills test may be required before hiring.

Our work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our factory is located in the north industrial area near Costco.  Reliable
personal transportation to and from the factory is needed.
