The David Aplin Group has partnered with a dynamic and evolving local business to assist them in recruiting for an Accounting Clerk to support their local business operations.

The Role:
Accounting Clerk Job Duties:
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
Performs duties necessary for the purpose of collecting revenue from clients
Obtains necessary information needed for the rest of the team, so must have a good working knowledge of financial statements. (Collecting, analyzing, and gathering account information and trends)
Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
Resolves any client account issues or discrepancies by investigating documentation;
Completes any information preparation for year-end reports by working with clients third party accountants
Completes gain/loss reports
Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
Secures financial information by completing database backups.
Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:
Skills and Qualifications:
Accounting Diploma or Degree
Administrative Writing and Data Entry Skills
General Math Skills and Knowledge of Financial Software
Ability to analyze financial information and Reporting Research Results
Attention to Detail and Thoroughness
Strong Verbal Communication Skills
