The Nurse Practitioners responsibilities may include diagnosing, treating and managing urgent, acute and chronic illnesses, performing patient visits and monitoring their conditions, conducting tests, and writing reports for the physician. This position reports to the Health Director.
Qualifications:
Masters of Nursing;
Valid Family All Ages Nurse Practitioner license in Saskatchewan;
Must have scheduling flexibility;
Minimum 2 years recent experience as an NP in an outpatient clinical setting with preference for those working across the life span in a primary care setting such as Family Medicine, Urgent Care or Out Post setting;
Experience in a wide range of assessment, treatment and therapeutic interventions, health promotion, diagnostic procedures, and follow-up care in the community considered an asset
Ability to speak and understand the Cree language is considered an asset;
Must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Must successfully complete Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as well as comply with an annual Oath of Confidentiality Agreement;
Fit for Duty Policy in effect.
