Description

THE POSITION
This position will be responsible for coordination of all corporate communications, internal and external for STC.  This will include the development of an internal newsletter to staff, community member nations and other stakeholders, manage social media, digital communications and coordination of media/press releases, Q&A and positive media relations. The position will be responsible for promoting and protecting STCs brand/corporate image and for leading innovative internal communications on various digital platforms.   The position will work with staff, stakeholders and partnership relations. Develops creative, compelling, thoughtful and impactful content.  
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops strategies to boost STCs brand internally and externally.
Writing and editing content for STCs promotional materials and digital communications.
Develop and implement strategic communications plans, internal newsletter and other corporate reports that align with STC corporate objectives and priorities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A completed Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, business, or other related degree.
Three (3) years experience in a formal communications role with demonstrated experience in communications planning and media relations.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write for a wide range of audiences.
Social media management experience; corporate or visual identity (brand) monitoring expertise.
OTHER CONDITIONS
Must possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license, a reliable vehicle and meet STCs insurance requirements;
Must provide a current, original, Canadian Criminal Record Check (CCRC) search as a condition of employment;
Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends, and to perform other related duties as required or assigned.
