Description

LEON Mfg. Company has an opening for a full time Maintenance Person.
The Maintenance Person will perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on equipment & facilities at our Yorkton SK building and factory.  They play a key role in ensuring production lines are continuously running and building systems are functioning properly.
LEON equipment includes welders, powder paint line system, CNC metal bending and CNC cutting equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other production tools & machines.
Duties include:
Performing scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdown and repairs;
Diagnosing & troubleshooting equipment issues in a timely and professional manner;
Making recommendations as to the extent of repairs required, suggestions for improvements, and completing the work to be done;
Assisting with equipment installations and relocations; and
Providing support to vehicle maintenance, building maintenance & repairs, and small renovation projects.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
A certification as a heavy equipment mechanic, millwright or similar skills training;
Minimum 5 years post-certification work experience in a similar position and work environment;
Must have basic knowledge of 3 phase power;
Valid drivers license;
Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on the impact to operations;
Proven ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal, and efficiently complete the work in given deadlines;
Ability to read schematic drawings to repair equipment;
Ability to practice and promote good housekeeping and safety practices within all work areas;
Possess a strong command of the English language (read, write, speak); and
Ability to walk extensively through the day, occasionally lift weights of about 10 pounds, and periodically work at higher elevations (on ladders & lifts).
