Position and Responsibilities
Camecos exploration department is responsible for discovering uranium resources to support the sustainability of our vision of energizing a clean-air world. At Cameco exploration we strive for geoscientific excellence and promote innovation. The geology group within exploration offers access to high level knowledge of uranium geology, industry-leading technology and data processing and modeling capabilities, along with continued learning and professional growth opportunities.

As part of the exploration group, you will provide an expert level of technical geological support to assure the highest level quality of data acquisition and processing and interpretation. You may bring technical specialties such as geochemistry or structural geology or may be well-rounded generalists in exploration geology and metallogenic systems.  This position is a mixed role of field geology (assisting field programs as well as technical geological studies/evaluations) and office-based exploration support by providing technical geological interpretations and compilations.

Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
    Masters Degree in Geological Sciences
    Minimum of five to eight years of relevant work experience (a portion of which may include post-graduate education)
    Eligibility for registration as a Geoscientist-in-Training with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
    Ability to work in remote locations for extended periods of time
    Previous mineral exploration of hydrothermal systems or geological field experience
    Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills are required to ensure accurate reporting and presentation of results and effective teamwork
