Facility: Humboldt District Hospital
Job Description: The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the overall day to day operation of the operating room, recovery room, and day surgery unit. The CNL is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of high standards of patient care by assuming delegated administrative, clinical and educational responsibilities. Reports to the manager of nursing.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS RECENT NURSING EXPERIENCE, THREE (3) OF WHICH ARE PREFERRED TO BE IN THE SPECIFIC CLINICAL AREAS (OPERATING ROOM).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of leadership strategies in order to lead, encourage, advise and cooperate with colleagues to promote and maintain positive relationships, to achieve patient/resident/client team and organizational goals within available resources.
Knowledge of communication techniques and approaches in order to adapt to multiple and ever changing situations and environments
Knowledge of critical thinking processes in order to creatively solve problems in an open and resourceful manner
