DBM Design Build Maintain LTD is exited to offer the full-time opportunity for a CAD Technologist to add to our growing company in Regina, Saskatchewan. DBM is a custom fabrication and machine shop serving the Mining, Oil and Gas, Agricultural, and Construction Industries. Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the CAD Department Manager
Utilize multiple platforms of CAD software to prepare detail drawings, conceptuals and 3D models specific to the customer and/or project requirements
Assist with design layouts, equipment placement and participate in design analysis and refinement.
Produce bill of materials necessary for purchasing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Assist with project estimations, material take-offs, and purchasing
Occasional travel (up to 2 nights may be required)
Qualifications
+5 years experience
Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor is required
Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD an asset
Ability to think critically and analytically.
Meticulous attention to detail with strong industrial fabrication, structural, and mechanical background
Experience with steel fabrication, manufacturing processes and machine design
Knowledge of Welding and Machining processes
Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines
Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills
Work effectively in a diverse environment
Must be able to interact with co-workers in a sensitive, tactful, diplomatic, and professional manner
