Description

The Town of Pilot Butte is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time-Facility Operator I  Parks and Recreation Operations.
Working under the Director of Parks and Recreation, the successful applicant will be able to perform the following duties:
    All seasons maintenance:  sidewalk snow clearing, cut grass, paint/minor carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, emission testing for Zamboni
    Operating ice making and resurfacing equipment in the production and maintenance of arena ice
    Operate and maintain Zamboni  move nets when flooding ice after warm ups and between periods  fix ice
    Monitor refrigeration equipment, including taking and recording readings and reporting issues, checking, adjusting and performing routine repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment and ensuring ice quality is maintained
    Diamond  and recreation field maintenance
    Perform housekeeping of all facilities to maintain cleanliness and general appearance to maintain safe and healthy work environment  wash and ensure clean: floors, bathrooms, dressing rooms, lobby and hall
    Carry out security checks on facility
    Ensure patrons adhere to the facility rules and regulations
    Maintain positive relationship with user groups  good customer service approach
    Distribute dressing room keys and aid volunteers
    Follow direction and carry out duties as delegated by Park and Recreations and Town Administration.

WHMIS, First Aid/CPR and SPRA Arena 1 are preferred qualifications.

A valid class 5 drivers licence with a clean drivers abstract will are required.  The successful applicant must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check record.

Prior knowledge and experience with facility maintenance and custodial/janitorial duties and related skills will be considered an asset.

Must be available evenings and weekends.
