Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. Recognized under provincial legislation, the Institute has been conferred authority to grant certificates and diplomas. SIIT welcomes over 2400 students into our urban and community programs annually as well as serving over 6000 clients through our nine Career Centres across the province. The main goal of the SIIT Career Centre is to connect participants to jobs and careers in the construction and industrial trades. The Job Coach is responsible for working with clients to provide information and support in career planning, skills training, and employment or educational goals. The Job Coach is required to follow-up with clients and employers, and to collaborate with other departments within the Institute to ensure client success. A Job Coach is the link between employers and workers and supports both employers and new workers to develop long-term careers.
