David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a local industry leader, to recruit a Journeyman CNC Machinist, in Saskatoon, SK. Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, the successful candidate will participate in the manufacturing and production of parts and equipment for a variety of industries. This is a growth opportunity, ideal for someone with ambition and leadership potential, who is seeking a long-term career.

The Role:
Operate sawing machines, milling machines, engine lathes, and CNC machines
Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
Inspect and measure finished tools and parts
Ensure compliance with all standards, regulations, and policies relating to safety
Collaborate with other departments to ensure client satisfaction
The Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Machinist
Mechanical and technical aptitude
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Detail orientation and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
Strong multitasking, and organizational skills
Competency with MS Office products, general computer proficiency
A team player with a calm, steady demeanour

 - Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
 - Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
 - Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments
 - Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
