1 Day (FT), 2 Nights (PT@72 hrs), 4 Weekends (PT@48 hrs), 3 Casuals
Leading Thunderbird Lodge is a residential youth treatment facility located at Fort San, SK in the QuAppelle Valley.  The Lodge offers a 12-week holistic and culturally based addiction and mental health treatment program for Indigenous male youth between the ages of 12-17 years.  The Lodge will be re-opening in October 2021 and is looking to hire healthy, motivated and culturally aware Youth Care Workers to join their team
POSITION DESCRIPTION
    Providing supervision of all youth in residence
    Providing assistance, guidance and support for youth
    Transporting youth as required for activities/events
    Facilitating/attending scheduled activities and events with youth
    Completion of required shift documentation (daily summaries/logs, incident reports, etc.)
    Light duty custodial tasks
    Basic food preparation

QUALIFICATIONS
    Grade 12 or equivalent
    Minimum of a Certificate in Addictions, Youth Care or working towards a degree in Social Work, Psychology or related fields
    Valid drivers license
    Computer skills required for database entry and reporting purposes
    Lived experience and understanding of First Nations culture
    First Aid/CPR/AED, ASIST, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Safe Food Handling training would be an asset
    Applicants must also lead an addictions free lifestyle in promoting personal wellness
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in working with youth
