CNC Machinist

As one of Canada's leading manufacturers of fire-retardant garments, Actionwear Saskatoon Inc. is proud to be serving the mining, oil and gas, and electrical industries for over 47 years. Actionwear has a full-time career opportunity for a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) fabric cutting machine operator. We are looking for a mature person, to work with computerized equipment to cut fabrics for our clothing manufacturing company.
The ideal candidate would be a person with integrity, who is dependable, energetic, physically fit, self-motivated, able to multitask, have great organizational skills, and be a quick learner.
Duties will include:
Spread rolls of fabric onto a table for cutting
Assist with manual cutting of materials, as needed  
Pull materials onto cutting machine
Load Cutter and set machine specifications
Organize fabric pieces for further processing
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, and write in English
Ability to perform computations
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing,
Frequent bending & stretching with legs, shoulders, and back
Frequent pushing and walking
Education: Completed CNC training, experience with computerized cutting equipment, or experience with computers and ability to learn quickly
Hours: Monday through Thursday 7 AM to 4 PM, Friday  7 AM to 1:30 PM
