Description

Reporting to the Director of Oncology Pharmacy Services, the Provincial Manager, Strategic Pharmaceutical Partnerships and Value is responsible and accountable for value terms for drugs funded by the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency through negotiating, implementation and management of both brand and generic drug product agreements.  These responsibilities have been established to support the Pharmacy Services within the Care Services Division in its efforts to ensure safe, accessible, high-quality, cost effective and affordable systemic therapies are provided to Saskatchewan residents diagnosed with cancer.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Health Administration (MHA) or a related field from a recognized university is preferred.

Experience negotiating drug contracts or managing drug product listing agreements is an asset.
A minimum of 3 years of clinical oncology pharmacy experience and/or oncology pharmacy supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of applicable education, training and 5 years of clinical pharmacy/supervisory experience in a tertiary care hospital with a minimum of 1 year oncology experience.

Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP to practice pharmacy in Saskatchewan.

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of pharmacoeconomics and budget impact analysis.
Expertise in negotiation.
Knowledge of medical technology assessment methods, the health industry, information management systems, stakeholder engagement strategies and the evolving health care environment.
Strong knowledge of oncology therapy and drug evaluation methodology.
Strong understanding of the process of evidence-based guidelines.
Effective research, analytical, critical thinking, planning and evaluation skills.
