CLSI is now accepting applications for a Network Analyst in the Systems Technology department. Reporting to the Infrastructure Technology Lead, the successful candidate supports programs and services related to TCP/IP networks at the CLS. The incumbent should be a fully qualified specialist or technical expert in more than one specific area.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in network design, implementation and administration
- Provide support for a variety of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, WAF, wireless network devices and various virtual network appliances
- Develop, monitor and administer policies for the use of network resources
- Evaluate and recommend network security improvements and system upgrades
- Monitoring network devices and services to ensure optimal performance
- Planning network changes with a focus on minimizing disruption
- Creating and maintaining technical network documentation
- Supporting various network services such as VOIP, DHCP, DNS, DDI, NIS and NTP
- Producing and maintaining network wiring drawings and conceptual topology drawing
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant undergraduate degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience
- In depth knowledge of networking services and protocols
- Knowledge of general computing environments and platforms such as Windows, Linux and VMWare
- Proven network engineering, network operations and network performance analysis skills
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Cisco TCL
- Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
