Description

Responsibilities:
- Provides IT support services requiring specialized application knowledge. Documents IT support procedures for frequently occurring application issues to a level sufficient for help desk staff to use.
- Works collaboratively with business partners and other IT staff to select, implement, support, and upgrade application solutions.
- Serves as the primary Systems Technology resource in support of business applications. This includes but is not limited to: application security, user privileges, backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery, change control, system integrations, documentation and training, vendor and customer management, software compliance, license monitoring, and reporting requirements.
- For applications that allow for or promote customization, work with business partners to design, develop and implement process enhancements to meet their functional business requirements.
- In consultation with business stakeholders, vendors and other IT personnel resolve critical operational problems with applications.
- May manage projects related to the application areas they support
- Identifies and recommends opportunities to improve application usage by keeping current on application capabilities, best practices, and future directions. Leads / participates in
- Application Analyst internal and external user groups and vendor provided training opportunities to promote application utilization.
- Performs strategic life cycle management for business applications and determines the impact of new releases and legislative changes on applications.
- Develops user training and documentation, and conducts training for applications and integrated solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- A relevant undergraduate degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience supporting corporate applications.
- Previous project management experience an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
