The Instructor is an in-scope position reporting to the Manager of Technical and Trades or their designate. They will work alongside a variety of health instructors to achieve common goals within a variety of health programs.
The Instructor is responsible for organizing and delivering education program curriculum and content to meet the learning outcomes of the program. The Instructor is also responsible for engaging with students in the educational setting to contribute to a positive and successful learning experience. The instructor may provide clinical supervision for a variety of health programs. The Instructor works within the accrediting institute curriculum promoting academic success and personal growth with the students.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Skills:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing, registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA). Must be an RN.
Minimum of two years recent training and experience, within the past five years, clinical/teaching experience in the areas of long-term care, in-home care and special care settings.
Ability to obtain a full satisfactory security clearance for practicum facilities.
Knowledge of competency-based education.
Must have a valid Drivers License.
A satisfactory criminal records check is required as a condition of employment
The successful candidate must be able to (or willing to learn how to) effectively deliver curriculum via a blended or online delivery model.
The accrediting institute for this program is SaskPolytechnic. The instructor must meet the accrediting institutes requirements.
