Fabricators Wanted

Busy steel fabrication shop is in search of experienced Fabricators.

Saskatoon Metal Mfg. is a long-established resource and industrial manufacturing company providing steel fabrication services to heavy industry for the past 40 years.  We service all of the mining companies in Saskatchewan and focus on medium to high complexity custom manufacturing using a wide array of materials and designs.  Our focus is on employee performance and compensation, and we have extremely low employee turnover.

The successful candidates will:

    Have experience with metal fabrication  we promote apprenticeships and Journeyman certification.
    Demonstrate the ability to study drawings and blueprints, determine the material required and plan the sequence of tasks needed to assemble and fit using tack welding, bolting, riveting and other methods
    Understand and execute metal forming processes such as plate bending and rolling
    Understand welding processes
    Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
    Have strong communication skills
    Overhead crane training is an asset but not a necessity
