Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    ZACFW Liaison Support Worker may work from an office, travel to meet clients and to support Zagime Anishinabek Child and Family Wellness initiatives.
    This position may perform intake processes and will accurately record documentation requirements according to YTL-YTCCFS Inc. policies, procedures, and protocols as well as the Provincial Child Abuse Protocol. Includes interprovincial and provincial files.
    Prepares court documents and attending court proceedings pertaining to children in care from YTL-YTCCFS Inc. and Zagime Anishinabek.
    Provide input on a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative, and support services to children and their families.
    Advocate for children and their families to remain together as often as possible.
    Participate in cultural planning for children in care, make referrals to support planning.
    Create records and tracking for open files across Saskatchewan and Canada that will be transferred to Zagime Anishinabek Child and Family Wellness.
    Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act, YTL-YTCCFS Policies, Bill C92 (C92) are highly desired.
    Interacts with community, family members, staff, visitors, government agencies/personnel
    Exceptional knowledge of Zagime Anishinabek history and traditional protocols.
    Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, facilitation skills for meetings and talking circles.

QUALIFICATIONS:
    Completion of a post-secondary degree in a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, or an equivalent Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited university. Bachelor of Indigenous Education and or related Social Science degree, with relevant experience, will also be considered.
