Description

The Town of Arcola is now accepting applications for the full time position of Public Works Maintenance Assistant. This position is deemed permanent and will work directly under the direction of the Town Foreman.

Duties include but are not restricted to:
-To assist in the maintenance and operation of the municipal water and sewer infrastructures such as underground lines, lift station, pump houses, wells, lagoon and water treatment plant;
-To assist in the maintenance and operation of municipal road systems, including graveling, grading, street sweeping and snow removal.
-To assist in development and maintenance of landscaped areas within the municipality including grass mowing;
-To assist in the operation and maintenance of Towns garbage transfer station;
-To assist with such duties as may be prescribed by the Town Foreman, Town Administrator or Town Council. For a full job description please email arcadmin@sasktel.net.

Applicant shall possess a valid Class 5 drivers licence. Experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment would be an asset. Applicant shall be willing to take the necessary training and obtain the Operator Certification for Water Treatment and Distribution and Waste Water Collection and Treatment along with the various safe equipment operator courses. Training will be provided.
