Permanent Full Time:  August 26, 2021  June 30, 2022 (200 days)

Position Summary
The Instructor is an in-scope position reporting to the Manager of Technical and Trades or their designate.  They will work alongside a variety of health instructors to achieve common goals within a variety of health programs.  The Instructor is responsible for organizing and delivering education program curriculum and content to meet the learning outcomes of the program.  The Instructor will engage learners in experiencing the Indigenous world and Indigenous knowledge in a holistic way. The Instructor will assist learners in becoming culturally aware, responsive, compassionate, and professional care providers.  The Instructor will develop graduate learners who will be confident and capable of making a positive difference in the health outcomes of Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations.  The program will provide increased representation of Indigenous and/or Indigenous aware Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the workplace.  

Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Skills:
    A Bachelor of Science in Nursing, registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
and
    Minimum of 3 - 5 clinical practice experience in the areas of medical, surgical and pediatric, obstetrics, home care, and/or long-term care nursing.
    Strong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous cultures and organizations.
    Exceptional knowledge of Indigenous historical and contemporary issues.
    Must have a valid Drivers License.
    A satisfactory criminal records check is required as a condition of employment.
    Ability to obtain a full satisfactory security clearance for practicum facilities.

The accrediting institute for this program is Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology, the successful candidate must meet the accrediting institutes requirements.
