Description

The Community Safety and Well-Being Branch of Integrated Justice Services is seeking a highly-motivated, well-organized individual to provide comprehensive administrative support for the Branch and the Director responsible for the Northern Unit in the La Ronge office.

As the successful candidate, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess strong computer skills with the ability to create accurate, visually-pleasing documents using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. As a member of a team of professionals, you will be in regular contact with community-based partners providing services relating to community safety and well-being. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the units contracts and support of communities including supporting outcome measurement frameworks, financial records, and an electronic filing system.

This position will be responsible for a variety of support duties including managing various databases; compiling data from various sources; preparing presentations, briefing notes, reports, and correspondence; providing administrative support to the Directors and Managers within the Community Safety and Well-Being Unit; responding to requests related to the services and programs provided by the branch; and managing travel logistics and assisting with coordinating multi-stakeholder meetings.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through training in office administration, combined with administrative support experience.

This position involves some travel throughout the province. A valid driver's licence is required.
