Description

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The MLTC Bioenergy Centre consists of a 6.6 MW power generation system that is fueled primarily by biomass sawmill residuals.  The plant supplies power to the SaskPower grid, and provides low-carbon process heating (kilns and building heat).  Reporting to the Chief Operator, the successful candidate will foster a strong safety culture within the MLTC BioEnergy Centre.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-Planning and supervising in house and contractor maintenance.
-Creating and executing preventative maintenance routes.
-Working with major equipment vendors to plan and execute shutdown maintenance.
-Troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns.
-Service and repair lubrication, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
-Understand how to fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket as a millwright or heavy duty mechanic with industrial experience.
Preferably 5 years of industrial experience as a journeyperson
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Proven track record of promoting and practicing a safe work environment.
Maintenance experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
