Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a dynamic and growing local manufacturer, to recruit a Production Labourer. This permanent, full-time opportunity is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.

Reporting to the production supervisor, production labourers are responsible for the operating and daily maintenance of manufacturing equipment. This will include monitoring, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of the facilitys equipment

The Role:
Process raw materials through manufacturing equipment
Check products for deficiencies and ensure conformance to company standards
Maintain shift log of production and other data
Lifting, carrying, standing, bending, crouching, walking and other physically demanding tasks
Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area
Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
Performing other related duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum grade 12 or GED is required for consideration
Ability to operate machinery if required, forklift experience preferred
Computer literacy, and the ability to learn new programs
Ability to manage an important function in a complex plant environment
Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Must have the capability to interact effectively at all levels of management.
Demonstrated commitment to working in a safe working environment.
