An employee in this job will provide senior administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director (ED) and their branch, including highly confidential and detailed work. This employee will provide support to the Vice-Presidents office as requested. You will require knowledge of practical procedures and systems with a focus on proficiency and you will frequently work with clients and staff in providing and receiving information that will require understanding, tact and motivation skills.
This position involves administrative tasks such as preparing routine to complex correspondence, reports and other documents of a non-technical nature and varying in confidentiality. Track and edit ministerial items for the Branch on behalf of an Executive Member, ensuring deadlines are met and ensure processes and Corporate standards are followed. This position will also manage the Executives calendar; track and update due dates, action items and bring forwards on behalf of the Branch.
This work involves thinking within well-defined, somewhat diversified procedures and there is an expectation to routinely work independently to ensure objectives are met and that work is prioritized recognizing available resources.
You will work among a diverse and passionate team of professionals from fields including engineering, water quality, ecology, law, sociology, and public policy to name a few, that are leading this exciting challenge in our province.
The successful candidate must have a Certificate in a one-year Office Administration program or similar program and 2 years of related experience.
