Description

Under the general direction of the Plant Superintendent, supervise union personnel on rotating shifts in the Activated Carbon and Char plants, as well as the Tipple.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Supervise all personnel assigned to them on shift.
Responsible for meeting production quality and cost targets for their shift, and variance reporting.
Coordinate and direct day-to-day work activities for the plants.
Ensure safe work behaviors, and correct safety and environmental deficiencies in a timely manner.  Report and begin the investigation process for all safety and environmental incidents.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as the collective bargaining agreement.
Interface with plant maintenance staff to maximize plant run-time and effectively communicate maintenance needs.
Interface with mine operations supervisors to ensure an adequate supply of raw coal feed.
