Position Summary
The Instructor is an in-scope position reporting to the Manager of University or their designate. They will work alongside other health instructors to achieve common goals within a variety of health programs. The Instructor is responsible for organizing and delivering education program curriculum and content to meet the learning outcomes of the program. The Instructor is also responsible for engaging with students in the educational setting to contribute to a positive and successful learning experience. The instructor may provide clinical supervision for a variety of health programs. The Instructor works within the accrediting institute curriculum promoting academic success and personal growth with the students.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Skills:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing, registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
and
Minimum of two years recent clinical/teaching experience in the area of medical, surgical and pediatric or obstetrical nursing.
Demonstrated understanding of Northern Saskatchewan communities and the ability to work within a multi-cultural environment and to promote and encourage diversity, individual dignity and mutual respect.
Demonstrated ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of adult education.
Willingness and ability to travel.
Must have a valid Drivers License.
A satisfactory criminal records check is required as a condition of employment.
The successful candidate must be able to (or willing to learn how to) effectively deliver curriculum via a blended or online delivery model.
