We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist in the professional exhibition program and enhancement of the care and outreach of the Mann Art Gallerys Permanent Collection.

The Collections / Exhibitions Assistant will select, research, and compile data on the contemporary Indigenous artworks and a selection of artworks by historical Saskatchewan artists Mac and Beth Hone from the Permanent Collection of the Mann Art Gallery. They will research the historical, social and artistic contexts in which the artworks were created, produce industry-standard photo documentation of artwork, and upload compelling information and images on the gallerys website and to CHIN Artefacts Canada online database. The successful candidate will work alongside the Registrar and Director/Curator to develop a greater understanding of the day-today procedures of a professional art gallery, work with the Permanent Collection and curate between one and three collection-based exhibitions.

The successful candidate will have educational and practical experience in Visual Arts, Art History, or cultural management. Previous knowledge or interest in Indigenous and Saskatchewan art and working in archives or collections is an asset. The candidate should be organized, be able to work with people in a team environment and independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
