Description

Camponi Housing Corporation / Sasknative Rentals Inc.  have employment opportunities at our Edwards Manor Supportive Housing Program Building in Saskatoon.  
  
Position Summary:
    Utilize knowledge and understanding of Indigenous history, crisis practices/strategies, cultural practices and views to support clients in learning more about their own cultural practices and views
    Provide and foster a culturally safe and belonging space for clients to engage with staff and one another
    Act as role model and mentor to clients
    Engage clients in social, cultural and community activities and opportunities
    Supervise in the Community Room
    Provide informal supportive counselling and crisis management
    Appropriately respond to behaviors that put the clients, or others in the building at risk
    Work with the team in developing case plans with clients  
    Update the communication log daily and charting
    Enforce building rules and policies
    Cleaning and general maintenance of the community room
Qualifications:
    Lived experience
    Work experience in related field
    Strong organizational and time management skills
    Willingness to work independently and as part of a team and engage with hard to house clients with mental illness and active addictions.
    First Aid and CPR or wiliness to obtain certification

Successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check as a condition of employment
