Whitmore Park Child Care Co-op is dedicated to creating early childhood programming that is holistic, responsive, and developmentally appropriate, building on childrens strengths, accomplishments, and abilities. As an educator at WPCCC, you will strive to provide children with ample opportunities to learn and develop through discovery and engage in hands-on activities and open-ended exploration. As Educators, we promote and implement child-led play-based programming that views children as competent learners. Educators work to enhance each childs feelings of competence, independence, and self-esteem to aid in the development of a positive self-concept. Working as a team with co-workers and families is essential to creating collaborative partnerships that meet the individual needs of each child.
In addition, educators are responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of snacks and meals. There is also some general cleaning required to ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained.
We are currently looking for an Educator to join our team working with children 18 months to 4 years old. The position is 40 hours a week, with an EDO every 4 weeks after 3 months probation. The right applicant is available between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. Must have at least six months of experience within a center, and current first aid with CPR.
