Job Posting Support Facilitator
We are looking for a Support Facilitator! The role of the Support Facilitator is to help place the power back into the hands of an individual with high physical disability (called Centres) by assisting them to maintain and manage a Network of volunteer supporters to help the Centre achieve their goals. If you have a long-term interest in making a difference in the life of someone with a physical disability, we would love to meet you. We encourage people with disabilities to apply.
Roles and Responsibilities
Being guided by the values and principles of the REALM Foundation Centre you will work closely with the Centre to:
maintain and manage the Centres Network
work with Centre to recruit and replace network members
identify and achieve the Centres goals for the Network
gather information to help the Centre and her Network make informed decisions
build connections in the community
Skill/Knowledge Requirements
Strong interpersonal and group communication skills
Able to run meetings and delegate duties
Able to support, develop and manage volunteers
Able to research and identify community resources
Strong written and oral skills
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, emailing and texting
Requirements
A commitment to work with the Centre for the long term
Own vehicle and valid drivers license
Internet/telephone access
Own computer with Microsoft Office and email
Access to a printer
Working Conditions
Regina based
Contract position
Wage: $15.00/hour
Hours: approx. 4 hours a month plus paid training
Willingness and availability to attend paid professional development training
