Description

General Sandblasting & Painting Ltd. provides in-house and mobile blasting and protective coating/painting for the repair, protection, prevention, & maintenance of our clients assets.  We are proudly Saskatchewan owned and operated and are located in Regina.  We have been providing service to a diverse customer base for over 35 years - our clients are leaders in the petrochemical, oil and gas, manufacturing, mining and industrial sectors in Saskatchewan.
We are looking for individuals to fill General Labourer positions for seasonal term.  This position is responsible for assisting blasters/ painters in the completion of their daily tasks, prepping materials, general housekeeping duties, material handling and any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Tasks are primarily physical labour, outdoors and subject to dust, fumes and noise (appropriate PPE is supplied)  and may involve confined space or working at heights.
Successful applicants will have a valid Class 5 drivers license and SCOT ticket and be able to meet the physical requirements to perform average lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.  Preference will be given to candidates who have refinery experience and VALID SCOT, Confined Space, Fall Protection, H2S Alive or other relevant safety tickets.
Applicants must be flexible and available for unscheduled overtime.  Travel may be required.
Applicants MUST obtain negative results upon completion of pre-access drug & alcohol screening.

Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and company employees, as well as the ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision
Previous experience with blasting or vac units will be considered an asset.
