We require a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our dedicated, forward-thinking team in Regina. This position will be primarily responsible for the preparation of working paper files, financial statements with accompanying notes and corporate and/or other tax returns, including participating in year-end audits and/or reviews. Duties also include preparing and analyzing financial information (such as budgets, cash flow projections and tax projections), preparation of journal entries, and GST/HST and/or PST returns, as well as other accounting duties related to the maintenance of books of account.
Preference will be given to an individual who possesses:
*Strong computer and systems skills with substantial experience using Excel, Word and accounting software;
*Knowledge of accounting principles and practices;
*Initiative, ability to multitask, and ability to problem solve;
*The ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The preferred candidate will have a strong financial and accounting background and hold a CPA designation or equivalency. Consideration may be given to a candidate who is pursuing a professional accounting designation as this position qualifies under Harvard Developments pre-approved program for the practical experience necessary for CPA certification.
