Regina Youth for Christ is a Christian mission organization that impacts over 6,000 youth every year in Saskatchewan. RYFC runs 4 group homes as well as community outreach programs in Regina and Moose Jaw. As a missions organization, Regina Youth For Christ requires all staff to be in agreement with their Statement of Faith.
There is a current opportunity open for a Full-Time Days Youth Care Leader in one of our group homes. This position provides an opportunity to work with youth ages 12-15 in a group home setting. It is ideal for a person who is people-focused, responsible and has a passion for guiding young people. This is a shift work type position that will include alternate weekends. The right candidate will be experienced and/or educated in working with youth or young adults in a supportive environment.
Starting Wage: $15.00 - $17.00/hour
Overview:
Assessing and Planning
- Ability to support a youth's case plan
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team
- Ability to create a consistent evening routine
- Ability to communicate professionally to support agencies
Relationship building and Support:
- Ability to build trusted relationships with youth
- Ability to motivate and empower youth towards success
- Ability to support youth in problem-solving and behaviour choices
- Assist youth to create and meet goals
- Provide behavioural support
- Support youth with any day-to-day activity that they may require support with
Overseeing and Guiding
- Ability to track and measure a youth's success
- Ability to hold a youth accountable for their choices
- Ability to set and maintain healthy, professional boundaries
*Requirement
-Must hold a valid drivers license and must be able to carry 8 passengers.
-Must provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector check made out to Youth for Christ
-Must be available for Shift-Work including Weekends.
-Shift times will be 3pm-12 am, and 12pm - 12am.
