Viterra is seeking a Customer Account Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring grain products by building relationships directly with farm customers within a geographical area. The Customer Account Representative adds value to both Viterra and farm customers through educating and delivering information on grain marketing and contract programs that will maximize their business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate grain contracts from a defined client base
Execute programs within an assigned market centre in order to meet budgeted grain volumes and margins
Coordinate logistics of contracts
Maintain and analyze a database of customer profiles
Analyze current and future agricultural trends and service needs
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customers
Contact producers regarding customer strategies in order to increase awareness of customer/business needs
Drive and facilitate competitive grain contracts
Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Efficient in MS office and experience utilizing relevant computer software programs
Proven experience in customer service or sales capacity
Basic understanding of the Canadian Grain Industry
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agriculture or other sales related customer service functions
Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Business Administration or Sales and Marketing (or equivalent post-secondary education)
Must possess a valid class 5 drivers license
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
