Pasqua First Nation Education Authority is accepting qualified applications for our Nutrition Program for the 2021-2022 school year term. Two positions are open:
#1. Nutrition Coordinator: Responsible for overall nutrition program management and operation; supervision of Nutrition Assistant and must hold professional qualifications (for example: Red Seal Chef)
#2. Nutrition Assistant: Responsible for daily nutrition support under the direction of the Nutrition Coordinator and must hold a minimum of Safe Food Handling certification.
Responsibilities
Implement the existing school nutrition program to offer high quality and appealing breakfast, snack and lunch for all students;
Identify and document special food requirements for students;
Develop monthly menus (September June) based upon Canada Food Guide and local advisory;
Cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen and servery items;
Coordinate food delivery system to students based upon approved school routines;
Manage nutrition budget; including weekly financial reconciliation, monthly financial reports and assist in preparation of annual budget;
Manage food orders through on-reserve delivery system; and supplemented by food purchasing when necessary;
Provide special event food preparations as requested by principal;
Participate in school training and meetings as required;
Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the principal.
