Description

Great Plains College is seeking a Donor Services Coordinator to lead and advance college fundraising through strategic initiatives, gift solicitation, grant and proposal writing, stewardship and recognition of donors. This position includes responsibility for all activities related to prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of annual, major and planned gifts from alumni, friends, businesses and foundations.

Duties and Responsibilities
-Establish annually, in collaboration with the Director of Communications & Development, goals and targets for calls, personal visits and annual giving outcomes.
-Establish, implement and monitor initiatives to enhance stewardship, annual, major and planned giving.
-Identify, solicit and cultivate new sources of funding including grants and private, public and corporate/foundation sources.
-Develop and implement a development plan.
-Execute strategic communications activities, including, but not limited to, direct mail, phone calls, face-to-face meetings and email solicitation, for the purpose of donor acquisition, gift renewal and stewardship.
-Prepare and oversee donor communication.
-Monitor, analyze and report on overall fundraising initiatives and results versus goals to internal stakeholders.
-Prepare, analyze and report to government agencies, as required.
-Ensure that databases for donors and alumni are increasingly comprehensive and current; maintain the integrity of the system and ensure that it is being utilized in a consistent and reliable manner.

It would be an asset for candidates to have:
Fundraising experience in an educational setting
Familiarity with Canada Revenue Agency regulations
