Parkland College is accepting applications for a Coordinator of English as a Subsequent Language (ESL) programming. This is a half-time (18.75 hours per week), term position commencing as soon as possible until - May 5, 2022.
The Opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Learner & International Services this position is primarily responsible for the delivery, coordination, and ongoing maintenance of English as a Subsequent Language (ESL) programming and learner services programs for the College.
The position will implement training, supervisor ESL Instructors, assess learner needs and select students, and participate in regional and provincial ESL networks. The position will develop specific ESL program and project proposals, prepare required reports for provincial and federal funding partners and maintain ongoing budget requirements.
What You Bring:
-Bachelor's degree with training relevant to Adult Education and English Language Training.
-Two years relevant and related experience of teaching English as a Subsequent Language and / or six (6) months of International experience abroad. This will include practical experience in a similar environment that includes experience in coordinating programs, needs assessment, budgeting, proposal writing, analytical and research skills.
-A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
-Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
