David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Production Supervisor (night shift). This permanent full-time position is located in a rural community 90 minutes from a major centre. We are seeking a hardworking professional with a background in manufacturing, a knack for finding efficiencies and proven leadership skills.

The Role:
Oversee and direct manufacturing activities to ensure that production schedules and targets are met
Facilitate toolbox meetings, supervise employees, and delegate workloads
Champion a safety mindset, and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures are followed by all team members
Monitor and balance production lines to maximize capacity
Apply Lean principles and advance the culture of continuous improvement
Complete quality inspections on all completed parts and products
Participate in the hiring, training, coaching, ongoing skills assessments, performance appraisals, and discipline of production staff. This includes the mediation of internal disputes, handling of employee concerns, and making recommendations for promotions, demotions, and terminations
Support diversity, and promote inclusivity initiatives

The Ideal Candidate: SEE OUR WEBSITE FOR FULL REQUIREMENTS
5-10 years of heavy manufacturing experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity
Deep understanding of welding techniques, industrial paint, and final assembly procedures
Ability to read blueprints
Excellent team-building and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a large group
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
