Northlands College is seeking an Instructor for our Indigenous Practical Nursing Program to work alongside other health instructors to achieve common goals within a variety of health programs. Candidates will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA). Must be an RN. Candidates will have a minimum of two years recent training and experience, within the past five years, clinical/teaching experience in the areas of medical, surgical, pediatrics and obstetrics, long-term care, in-home care and special care settings. The instructor may provide clinical supervision for a variety of health programs. The Instructor works within the accrediting institute curriculum promoting academic success and personal growth with the students. The Instructor will engage learners in experiencing the Indigenous world and Indigenous knowledge in a holistic way. The Instructor will assist learners in becoming culturally aware, responsive, compassionate, and professional care providers. The Instructor will develop graduate learners who will be confident and capable of making a positive difference in the health outcomes of Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations. The program will provide increased representation of Indigenous and/or Indigenous aware Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the workplace.
