AGT Foods Canada, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Grain Accountant to join our Regina Head Office team.
The successful candidate will:
-Prepare journal entries
-Perform the monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
-Perform monthly bag inventory reconciliation book to physical
-Complete and submit monthly bag duty drawback claims
-Prepare monthly accrual entries and mark-to-market on balance sheet (AR/AP)
-Prepare monthly financial reports for processing plants (plant reporting)
-Assist with testing of internal controls
-Assist with ancillary accounts payable tasks as required
-Assist with year-end audit requests
-Assist in the evaluation and enhancement of existing processes
-Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required
Skills & Abilities Required:
-University degree or diploma, specializing in accounting
-Current enrollment or willingness to enroll in a professional designation program
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
-Strong communication skills and attention to planning, process, and detail
-Must be a self-starter with a positive, entrepreneurial spirit
-Experience in the Agricultural industry, preferred, but not required
-Criminal record check to be completed
Salary to be determined based on education and experience.
